This painting was entirely 'intuitive'. I took 2" brush and started making figure 8 shapes on this 48 x 24 canvas. I experimented with a soft rubber 'brayer' which is a roller that helps to lay colour on canvas and gives a 'collage' feel to the painting. As I made these shapes, I saw barn shapes appear to me and I went for that feel. As I added detail to the barns, the black vertical lines I had made appeared to me as sky scrapers.
