This is a living breathing thing! It continues to take on and give off moisture forever. To keep it healthy & happy, please remember to wax it every six months (or more often) with a good past was—such as Minwax which can be found in the paint department of most hardware/building supply stores. Use caution near heat source, open flames or a sunny window. Also remember, wood and water do not mix—these are not water resistant in any way.
