It was fascinating to me how these enormous columns in the Cave of Clamouse had formed, by the trickling of water over the course of many millennia. My time spent painting them is minuscule compared to this wonder of nature, but I see a similarity to my process. Using the traditional oil glazing technique, I applied thin layer upon layer, each time allowing the paint to dry.
