The photo reference for Magnificent Maple was given to me by a friend who captured the image on the Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Course. It is a well known maple because of its outstanding fall colour every year. A challenge to paint, I found the journey was aided by glazing in the shadows..Painted 5 sides, ready to hang. (There is a little sailboat on one side)
