To compliment Rustic Chrome, my Rural Atmospheres series of paintings also feature rural settings but have big dramatic skies. I create images that represent my personal way of seeing everyday objects in spacial scenes such as barns, farmers fields and skies in a surrealistic manner. My aim is to reflect a particular mood, feeling or atmosphere in each. Inspired by an area near my home as a young man below the Niagara Escarpment in rural Niagara-on-the-Lake.
