Big Buck. 20″ x 16″. Acrylic on pine. 2022. Hand-framed.
My encounter with this buck was really something else. It was shortly after the rutting season when the boys are tired and hungry. This guy was in my usual deer spot. He let me approach and pass by him within 2 metres, showing a bit of interest in me. It’s incredible to be that close, especially to a large buck who could easily cause some damage if he really wanted to with those 8 points on his head.
