I didn't want to paint a delicate flower. My goal was to create a strong, singular flower. It's surrounded by different textures and it has risen above all other greenery and is proud of it's strength and simple beauty. This painting is presented on gallery-width canvas; image painted out around the edge, not framed, ready to hang.
